Information about Shivan
I`ve completed the third year of my Maths degree at Imperial College London and I`m excited to spend my summer tutoring younger pupils between year 7 and year 13. I specialise in tutoring mathematics and physics.
With my A*s in maths and further maths A levels, I am able to stretch the brightest students with extension work, and importantly explain the principles behind the concepts learnt in school rather than blindly applying methods, which I believe to be a crucially important part of the learning process. Specifically, in maths I can teach pre-GCSE (years 7-9), GCSE (years 10-11), A level modules of C1-4, S1-2, M1-3, D1, and further maths modules of FP1-3, as well as tutoring for the MAT exam.
I have extensive previous tutoring experience and mentoring experience.
Availability: Currently on summer holidays until October, so available all week. From October would have to fit tutoring around my university schedule.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have experience tutoring over 35 students, in everything from 11+ to A level, predominantly in maths. I have previously mentored a struggling GCSE physics student.
