Information about Emma
I am a qualified primary school teacher with a QTS and a PGCE.
Over the last 25 years, I have also taught English as a second language to primary, secondary and adult learners which I have really enjoyed. Fun and engaging activities, I believe, are important for learning to be a positive experience. I`m happy to focus on the areas needing to be improved; speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar or a combination.
I have taught in the Middle East and in Asia, as well as, here in the UK.
I look forward to meeting anyone who wants, or needs, to improve their any of their English or maths skills for their job, school or for their personal life.
Availability: I am flexible with my timings so please feel free to contact me.

Experience: I am a qualified primary school teacher with a QTS and a PGCE as well as being an experienced teacher of English as a foreign language to adults and children, including both IELTS and business English.
After graduating from university in 1996 I completed my CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults) and DELTA (diploma) and was recruited by the British Council.
I worked with the British Council in the Middle East and Asia and moved from being an English teacher up to an Academic Manager teaching English to young learners and adults a wide range of courses:

Business English
IELTS
ESP (English for Specific Purposes)
Skills focus (writing, reading, speaking and listening)

Secondary
I returned with my family to the UK in January 2017 and now enjoy the flexibility of working part time in a primary school and tutoring private students as I have a family to work around.

Emma has been absolutely fantastic. We have seen our daughters confidence with both maths and english grow considerably and school have now advised that she is working at the expected level and in some areas exceeding. Emma has a very gentle manner, and provides fun and engaging sessions perfectly tailored to our daughter. Most importantly our daughter loves her sessions with Emma and looks forward to them on a weekly basis.

I`m very excited about my English courses.Emma is a very good teacher. I`ve been learning a lot of things in really short time. She come every time with something new. At the moment she is preparing me for IELTS test, because I wish to do the Master degree in UK.
