Information about Emma
I am a qualified primary school teacher with a QTS and a PGCE and have taught from Reception to Year 6. Alongside tutoring, I work part time at a primary school in Essex. I can be flexible with hours, especially from August this year so feel free to get in touch with timings that work for you.
Over the last 25 years, I have also taught English as a second language to primary, secondary and adult learners which I have really enjoyed. Fun and engaging activities are important for learning to be a positive experience. I`m happy to meet and discuss which areas you would like to improve; speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar or a combination.
I have taught in the Middle East and in Asia and since 2017, here in the UK.
I look forward to meeting anyone who wants, or needs, to improve any of their English or maths skills for their job, school or for their personal life.
Availability: From August, I will have more flexibility with my timings to take on more students. Please feel free to contact me with times that work for you.

Experience: I am a qualified primary school teacher with a QTS and a PGCE as well as being an experienced teacher of English as a foreign language to adults and children. Additionally, I have taught both IELTS and business English.
After university, I completed my CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults) and DELTA (diploma). I then worked with the British Council in the Middle East and Asia, teaching and then managing courses for young learners and adults including:
General English, Business English, IELTS, ESP (English for Specific Purposes) as well as Skills focus (writing, reading, speaking and listening)
I returned with my family to the UK in January 2017 and now enjoy the flexibility of working part time in a primary school and tutoring private students which I really enjoy.

Emma has been absolutely fantastic. We have seen our daughters confidence with both maths and english grow considerably and school have now advised that she is working at the expected level and in some areas exceeding. Emma has a very gentle manner, and provides fun and engaging sessions perfectly tailored to our daughter. Most importantly our daughter loves her sessions with Emma and looks forward to them on a weekly basis.

I`m very excited about my English courses.Emma is a very good teacher. I`ve been learning a lot of things in really short time. She come every time with something new. At the moment she is preparing me for IELTS test, because I wish to do the Master degree in UK.
