I am a friendly, professional, results focused and outstanding tutor with five years senior teaching experience in Primary School education. My specialist subjects are Maths and English. I always go above and beyond the remit of my role to help each student to achieve their personal learning goals. My natural ability to quickly form bonds with children and my creative and interactive teaching style makes me a perfect tutor. I am hugely excited and motivated by the prospect of helping children to close the gaps in their education caused by the Coronavirus pandemic and to support them with their academic and personal development.

My calm, measured, matter of fact approach combined with a good sense of humour, and an enthusiastic presentation style creates an environment where all children are motivated to learn. I build positive relationships with each pupil to create an atmosphere where self-esteem can flourish. I believe in using a positive approach and in giving praise wherever possible. In my current practice, this has been highly effective. In response to my work, I have received excellent feedback from colleagues, pupils, my Senior Leadership Team and Ofsted.

Experience: The majority of my five years senior teaching experience has been in Lower and Upper Key Stage 2. I am also trained in secondary education, special needs education and year two and I have utilised many opportunities to observe teaching within Key Stage 1. As a result, I have developed an excellent understanding of children’s learning and progress against age related targets across the primary years and beyond.
