Did you know that Spanish is the second language in the world and the third used online ?
I am Angeles, a native of Castilla y León, in Northern Spain, currently living in Central London. I have graduated from the Cervantes Institute London in Teaching Spanish for young students and adult learners. I completed a Master of ELE (Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language ) for UNIR University of La Rioja Spain and I hold a Qualified Teacher Status for teaching in England, awarded by the Department of Education.
I love teaching Spanish and take great pride and joy in seeing my students improve their Spanish language skills. I believe in making my classes fun so that my students enjoy learning whilst keeping them engaged throughout the class. For my 1 to 1 tuition, I tailor the class to my student’s needs (e.g. if the student is learning Spanish for business, I will teach them words and phrases to help them speak Spanish for business). I provide a variety of resources that help stimulate and encourage learning.
I am focused on continuously honing and refining my teaching knowledge and skills so as to benefit my students. Recently I completed a pre-Christmas Spanish teaching workshop in Salamanca, Spain and attended another workshop, in the spring of last year, in Madrid. Additionally, I recently gained the highest Spanish language level Diploma, DELE Level C2 Grade, awarded by the Cervantes Institute.
Availability: Weekdays, afternoon, evenings, and weekend
Face to face I am flexible and available during the day and most evenings. I can also do classes on Saturdays. ONLINE SESSIONS TO ALL LEVELS, via Skype/Zoom/Google-meets, focused on conversational and listening skills. Online classes are ideal for students who either live far or travel frequently for work (or leisure).

Experience: With individual tuition, I start by assessing the student`s current level of knowledge and I determine the correct teaching programme. I aim to make my lessons Enjoyable, using visual resources (videos, extracts from the Spanish media ), as well as role-playing games.
During the lesson, we work on strategies for vocabulary learning, pronunciation exercises, and listening to online resources.
My approach with classes is via Zoom/ Google Meets. The format is slightly different: we focus more on skills related to speaking and listening.
In both cases, individual and group tuition, I set activities that enable the student to progress and confirm their understanding
I am an experienced Spanish language teacher. I have a wide range of experience teaching Spanish in London, including teaching:
- Teaching Spanish for GCSE (my first GCSE student received an A* :) and that has become a continuum
- Adults looking to learn Spanish for work, to enrich their travel experience or gain other benefits by learning a language, Spanish.

Angeles is a native Spanish speaker and came prepared to the trial lesson with a suitable lesson plan. Unfortunately my young daughter who is a complete novice had difficulty understanding her heavy accent making the lessons less effective. I think Angeles would better suit older pupils or pupils who already have a basic grounding in Spanish.

I`m a self-taught mid level student with lots of areas for improvement. Angeles is a patient tutor who always comes prepared with interesting exercises and discussions. We have been meeting for over 6 weeks now and my Spanish has improved because of the lessons thanks to Angeles. She is always punctual and flexible (the lessons are at lunchtime at my work). I look forward to many more lessons and learnings with Angeles.
