My name is Aishani, and I am currently a fourth-year medical student at the University of Manchester. I am passionate about encouraging young students to enjoy their science subjects and work to the best of their ability. My medical degree has enabled me to develop a combination of scientific knowledge and communication skills, validating my passion for the science subjects and pushing me to pass on this desire to learn to younger students. I only offer online lessons currently.

Experience: With over 250 hours of online tutoring experience, I have gained a solid understanding of the teaching methods that enable students to achieve their goals; my past students all received a grade 7, 8 or 9 in GCSE/IGCSE Biology and Chemistry. A free video chat will enable me to better understand your subject knowledge as a student, your preferred learning style, and your goals or target grades for that subject. As my teaching style is flexible, I adapt my lessons to suit your specific needs, whether tailored toward perfecting exam techniques or understanding the content in more detail. As a student myself, I apply some of my own revision techniques in my lessons, including anagrams and analogies which help you understand tricker concepts. A typical lesson would involve a warm-up question from the previous lesson’s topic, identifying learning objectives for the current lesson and working through them, followed by a past-paper question at the end to apply your knowledge. I am pleased to let you know I have extensively studied and delivered tailored to the AQA, Edexcel, OCR A and B and National 5 exam boards. Whilst achieving your target grade is at the centre of what we will work on together, I truly love both what I do and the subjects – and I believe you will too!
