I am passionate about sport and exercise science, and I hope to share this with students to allow them to better understand their specifications. I have extensive experience with teaching and coaching both via tutoring, working in a school, and in many difference sports. I pride myself on my distinct teaching style, revolving around fun and interactive practices, ensuring that concepts are understood and can be applied, rather than the memorisation of a marking sheet. I hope to not only improve knowledge of content but ensure maximum confidence levels of exam technique.

Experience: I began teaching swimming eleven years ago, starting as an assistant and moving up to lead teacher status. As part of this I have taught hundreds, if not thousands, of babies, children, and adults, how to swim. This incredibly rewarding job was made even better when I began specialising in the teaching of children and adults with various learning difficulties. This saw me coaching some swimmers up to National-level.

When I started at Loughborough University I transitioned to also coaching elite swimmers on the University team, and then coaching the development Cheerleading team. During my time at Loughborough University I achieved a 2:1 in BSc Sport and Exercise Science, and a Merit in MSc Exercise Physiology. I also completed a placement year within the Nutrition Research Group, where my lab work contributed to two scientific publications.

I previously worked as a SEN teaching assistant in a secondary school leading to my current role as a researcher. I have great success in tutoring a range of GCSE, A-Level, and BTEC qualifications, with over 700 lessons completed.
