Information about Bianca

I am a Canadian-Ukrainian artist who moved to London four years ago to pursue a Masters Degree in Fine Arts at Goldsmiths University. My own artistic practice focuses on the intersection of art, science and politics. I use lots of different types of mediums, like painting, drawing, installation and video. I exhibit internationally and have won multiple awards. I was given a scholarship for Goldsmiths University based on the merit of my application, an award which was only given to three of about sixty students a year. In my Painting and Drawing undergraduate, which I did at Concordia University in Montreal, I was awarded the Cecil Buller and John J.A Murphy Scholarship in Drawing. I am currently exhibiting a video, `The Heat Treatment` at the Teknisk Museum, and just finished a solo show at Verticale Artist-Run centre in the summer of 2021, I gave an artist talk for Cooper University as well in 2021, and was interviewed for a feature in Dateagle magazine. I was awarded a Tier 1 Visa as an artist with Exceptional Talent by the Arts Council, 2020, and won a grant from them as well as the Alberta Foundation for the Arts in 2021. I am looking forward to having a solo show at Gossamer Fog in London, 2023, and LOA gallery in 2022.

My own artistic practise is complex and time-consuming, I am completely passionate about it but it takes a large part of my free time. Besides that, I love to stay fit and bike around the city. I am also very into travelling, music, dancing, and - very importantly, being social and sustaining a community.

Availability: I am currently available at all times!

Willing to travel: 20 miles

Experience: I have worked before as an art teacher for ‘Art in the Box’ which was in Calgary, Canada. It was over the duration of a summer and I worked with students between the age of about six to thirteen. I taught how to draw faces and figures there.

I also worked as a student ambassador for Goldsmiths University, where I would lead activities with children and young people, promoting furthering education.

I am wanting to be an artist tutor because I genuinely love passing on my knowledge and love for art. I often consult young artists about the making of art, the industry at large, or school. I have gained so much knowledge working very hard in the arts over the last ten years and getting two degrees, I am ready to pass on that knowledge and help other young artists grow.
