I am a highly experienced and enthusiastic Science teacher with over 12 years of classroom experience, specialising in Chemistry and also teaching Maths. I hold a BSc (Hons) alongside a year of industrial experience in the chemical industry, allowing me to link GCSE Chemistry content to real-world applications for deeper understanding. As an AQA examiner, I have expert insight into how exams are written and marked, which enables me to create highly accurate predictive papers and exam-focused lessons. My approach is proven to help students strengthen exam technique, close knowledge gaps, and consistently exceed their target grades.
Availability: I am available on weekdays during the evenings, weekend mornings and also all day during summer holidays.

Experience: I am an experienced Science teacher with extensive knowledge of all three separate sciences—Chemistry, Biology and Physics—across multiple exam boards. Gavina is my daughter`s tutor for GCSE triple science (all subjects). She absolutely loves her sessions with Gavina and looks forward to them every week. Gavina is a great communicator, very organised, and most importantly completely responsive to my daughter`s needs, adapting the sessions as appropriate for her level. She knows exactly what is needed to achieve the highest grades, which is exactly what my daughter needs as her school teacher do not have capacity to focus on high achievers.

Gavina has been tutoring my daughter for less than a year and has helped her grades go from as low as a 5 in Chemistry to achieving straight 9s across the sciences. Gavina is an excellent tutor who is very approachable, patient and knowledgeable. She offers a very personalised learning experience suited to the students` needs and goals.
