Despite having taught and supported students for very many years, I remain passionate and committed. In an increasing technological society, English remains key to academic success and progression, so alongside the subject content I teach the core skills of essay writing and research. My experience and qualifications enables me to enjoy the diversity of teaching at different levels, in college and privately. Online tutoring has opened up the ability to support students who would otherwise be too far to travel to. During my years of experience I have been fortunate to experience a wide demographic of students from all backgrounds, cultures and needs and so equality and inclusion remains at the heart of my teaching ethos. I have had three children, who are all young adults and so can understand and empathise with parents seeking support and so communicate regularly on planning and progress. Equally, students studying more autonomously at a higher level may need direct help with time-management and organisation. My wide ranging experience means I have covered substantial content relating to many exam boards so can contextualise assessment criteria and impart exam marker requirements. I love the continual buzz of students, hence my registration as I just have a few spaces available, I would like to fill them.
