Information about Salsabiel
I am a Secondary Languages Teacher with QTS (Specialism in Spanish KS3, GCSE and A-Level and French KS3 and GCSE), covering the Edexcel and AQA curriculum. I am also able to teach English KS3 and GCSE (AQA).
I have 7 years teaching experience within the classroom, including a recent role as Head of Spanish and French at a Secondary and Sixth Form school in Staffordshire. In addition, I have worked as a private tutor since 2017 working with students on a 1:1 basis, from both mainstream settings and less traditional settings also (including neurodiverse learners). Whilst I cover the entire syllabus, my recent focus has been around preparing students for exams- I am pleased to say that I have supported each and every one of my students to achieve excellent outcomes, with many exceeding expectations (reviews and references provided).
I am driven to improve outcomes for my students; whether this is to improve current grades, work towards targets or even to start from the beginning and/or fill in any missing academic gaps. I have worked with a diverse community of students therefore I am flexible and enthusiastic to support all types of learners on their academic journey!
I have always worked in an inclusive and flexible way , therefore I am able to differentiate work to support high and low ability students, as well as those with behavioural and learning difficulties. I believe languages should be accessible to everyone, and I am passionate about doing whatever possible to make sure my students can access the curriculum with confidence and enjoyment.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Availability: I can offer daytime, afternoon and evening lessons Monday- Friday, Online or in some cases from my home. I can also offer limited sessions for Saturday mornings 9-12.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I gained QTS in 2015, and have since worked across diverse educational settings in London, Essex and currently within West Midlands- I have consistently achieved fantastic exam results and academic outcomes from my students, as well as instilling confidence and trust in not only my learners but their parents/carers also who know that their young person is being well supported.
As well as a PGCE in Secondary Education, I have an Masters in Hispanic Studies specialising in Translation, History, Politics and Language- I therefore try to make learning a truly fun and engaging experience by getting to know my students and appealing to their interests to make their own educational journey a fun and worthwhile experience.
Finally, I have taught a variety of exam boards but I am a specialist with Edexcel and AQA (however, I can easily accommodate other exam boards if required, including IGCSE and OCR).

Excellent Spanish tutor. My 15 year old son had no confidence in taking his Spanish GCSE and S has helped him improve his Spanish speaking and writing in preparation for the exams. His confidence and ability has improved enormously in the one to one lessons he has had with S over the last couple of months. She has built up a good rapport with my son and he enjoys his Spanish lessons. I would really recommend this tutor and consider she has gone over and above in helping him prepare for his GCSE`s.

Mrs S formed an immediate bond with my 15 year old daughter. She is warm, friendly, a great communicator, well organised and most importantly a great teacher. My D said that she had learns more in one 1 1/2 hour meeting than she does in a month at school. Most importantly her confidence and enjoyment in her subject was clearly increased. Mrs S provided helpful out of lesson support and quite obviously cares about her students.10/10
