Secondary qualified teacher of English with Drama and Masters graduate passionate about language and literature. KS4/CIE Examiner and have worked and traveled overseas. I am always keen to embrace new challenges, whether personal or professional. Have worked as a support worker and have management experience and am an independent thinker who can look outside the box for solutions and ideas for progression. I am down-to-earth and offer a level-headed approach.

Experience: Began working as a private tutor in 1997 following graduation from university. I established a tuition agency overseas (2009-11), tutoring and home-schooling students aged 5 to 18. I have taught basic skills to vulnerable school leavers and spent a year teaching English to students aged 3 to 16 years old in Japan. I have extensive experience doing supply in schools in South Wales (since 2006) and have worked as an English teacher in an international private secondary school in Malaysia. At this school I also taught History and Drama and in 2009 my entire English class achieved A* for First Language English IGCSE. My PGCE in Secondary English with Drama was achieved with merit at Exeter University. Since 2013 I have been teaching in FE and Sixth Form (GCSE & A Level), but am available to teach/tutor from KS3 to university/adult level.
