Availability: Day time and selected after school slots available, Monday to Saturday
Willing to travel: 8 miles
Experience: I have been a private tutor since 2011. I am educated to postgraduate level in English and have teaching qualifications in further education and teaching English as a foreign language. I have also had some dyslexia training and have recently completed the Special Educational Needs (SEND) Diploma.
During the early days of the pandemic, I completed a 300 hour TEFL Diploma (level 5) and taught students in China for a year via an online platform. This has given me more up to date experience using modern teaching methods, and some great ideas for tutoring!
Feedback For Rachel (5)
Rachel has visited my son and started to help with his GCSE`s preparation for May 2021 as he wants a high grade. They hit it off from the first second and I now listen from a distance to debates and the work that is going on! I fine this entreating and encouraging that a 14 year old lad has requested this:-. English was never this interesting when I went to school I would Highley recommend Rachel as a tutor.
Friendly and immediate rapport with daughter. Early days but have every confidence in Rachel who arrives well prepared and engages easily.
Excellent tutor with a great enthusiasm for the subject.
Excellent tutor - teenage daughter was reluctant to have extra English lessons but she actually enjoyed Rachels teaching style and found the lessons helpful, gaining more confidence in putting her own ideas into her work. Wouldnt hesitate in recommending Rachel to others. Thank you Rachel and Tutor Hunt.
