I am a fully qualified teacher (BA (2-1) in History and a PGCE in Secondary education) with 25 years of experience I also have 19 years of experience as an examiner for GCSE and A level History for AQA and Edexcel. All of my students achieve top grades and make progress quickly while working with me.

I have taught History for 25 years (21 years in school and 3 years online) at Key Stage 3, GCSE and A level. I am passionate about my subject, and I love to see my students` grow in confidence and develop their understanding and enthusiasm.

Availability: I am available from 8am-8pm Monday-Thursday

I also offer weekend lessons when required.

Experience: I have experience tutoring GCSE for the following exams AQA, Edexcel and Edexcel international. Educas, Cambridge and Cambridge international. For A level I have tutored AQA, Edexcel, Edexcel international and Cambridge. I have also supported A level students with their history coursework.
I have worked one to one with home schooled students who have completed their full GCSE and A level history courses with me as well as small groups.

As a former Head of Year and Head of Sixth Form I understand how stressful GCSE and A levels are, therefore, it is crucial to understand each students needs and ensure that every lesson is individually tailored specifically to them. I am able to quickly identify gaps in subject knowledge and focus my lessons towards this as well as consolidating exam technique.
