I am currently head of A level Sociology at a successful girls school in Surrey. Students I have taught have excelled with most achieving beyond their target grades. (I can provide results on request). I have two daughters, one currently studying for her AS levels and another studying at A2 level. I am fully aware of the demands placed on students and the support they need to be able to flourish and achieve their very best.

Availability: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday evenings. I have availability during the day for FE college students who wish to be tutored during their study periods.

I am available for one to one tutoring and small groups of students who wish to spread the cost of sessions.

Experience: I am currently head of KS5 Sociology at a successful girls school in Surrey. I have a degree in Sociology and a PGCE in further education. I have several years experience teaching sociology. I set up and ran an extremely successful Sociology department at a local school in SW London.

As a tutor, my aim is to ensure that all students gain the knowledge and skills needed to reach their full potential. Each session is planned to suit each individual`s learning style and specific learning needs. Supporting resources and materials for all lessons (including revision) are available to all students via email.

In particular, I have experience of the AQA examination board. AS topics: unit 1 - families and households. Unit 2 - education with research methods. A2 topics: unit 3 - mass media, beliefs. Unit 4 - crime and deviance with theory and methods. I am also familiar with the OCR examination board.

I also have experience of teaching GCSE sociology (AQA).
