Experience: I am a graduate in Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Physics from the University of Peradeniya. Currently, I am working as a Maths Lecturer for foundation year graduates, and I am teaching in a leading tutoring firm in Leicestershire. I have extensive tutoring experience in Maths and further maths for GCSE student. After all changes on specification in 2017, I have prepared and changed lessons and worksheets according to school’s VLE’s. (Virtual Learning Environments like Mathswatch and Mymaths). The maths program will be tailor made for individual student and will be based on their expected grades. I My approach to teaching the subjects under reference has always been to start from the basics by laying a good foundation thereby enabling the students to understand the advanced concepts with ease. By using this method, I was able to help students to achieve their potential and to be successful at the examinations. In addition to my teaching approach stated above, I also use past examination papers and Marking schemes to ensure, pupils gain confidence and have the correct attitude in answering a question papers, such as managing the given time to answer the required number of questions.
I also possess the skill to present complicated Mathematics diagrams in a manner that will enable the students to comprehend easily.
