Information about Joel
Hi, my names Joel. Im 23 years old and have worked in the architectural industry all of my professional life. A personal passion of mine has always been learning new skills and then being able to teach and train others in what I have learnt. I love architecture and have always enjoyed the more visual aspects of design. Because of this I taught myself how to use the relevant 3D software, which was and still is today, Autodesk Revit. Over the years Ive become very proficient in many areas of the program including; family creation, use of work sets, cloud point modelling, visualising, technical construction and detailing. So whilst teaching is not my day job, who better to teach than someone who uses the software day in and day out? As such I am still fully equipped to get you up on your feet and on your way in the world of Revit Architecture.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: Ive been trained as an Architectural Designer from school which naturally entails the use of a variety of software programs to deliver projects to clients. From the very beginning Ive used Autodesk Revit and am very proficient in the use of the program to the point where I currently train others in our office when the need arises. I have been in the industry now for 7 years and love passing on what I know to others. Revit is an amazing tool for use in and out of the office and is now industry standard for the majority of projects and as such its a great skill to have on a CV when applying for an Architectural position (Its definitely helped me in the past even though I dont have a degree in architecture!). At the moment I work in my companys VR department and as such am using programs like; Autodesk Revit, 3DS Max, Recap, Photoshop, Unreal Studio and many more to create virtual spaces for clients to step into. This job requires that I have excellent knowledge of each of those programs so that I can overcome obstacles that others may never even come across in the workplace. I also have had the opportunity to occasionally train others in the office in the basics of Revit and have delivered many presentations on the uses of different software in the workplace.
