BA, MA Warwick University 1970-1975. Administration Trainee, Department of Education and Science, 1975-1977. Lectrice, teaching English, Université Lyon II, France, 1977-1979. Teacher of EFL, Westminster College, London, 1979-1981. PGCE, English to Speakers of Other Languages, University of London Institute of Education, 1980-1981. Teacher of French (to A level) and private teaching, followed by retraining to work in primary schools, followed by various teaching positions in Hackney and Tower Hamlets, and then the same in Cardiff and Torfaen from then until 2014. Alongside teaching, I am a singer, songwriter, workshop facilitator, storyteller and writer, having worked in a wide variety of venues both across the UK and internationally. Completed my PhD (Cardiff University) in 2019.
Availability: In general, weekdays 9:00 - 18:00. Other times may be available on request.
Willing to travel: 15 miles
Experience: I have taught English to speakers of other languages in France, Spain and the UK. I have taught French to primary and secondary pupils, and to adults both in private lessons and in the workplace. I have worked with pupils out of mainstream education (in pupil referral units), and with families.
