I am a friendly and positive person with a love of literature and the arts. As an experienced teacher and also Head of Year, I am very calm and patient, used to working with young people of all abilities and personalities. I have 4 children of my own, so I have great empathy with parents as well!

Availability: I’m available most weekday evenings and Saturdays

Experience: I am an experienced English Language and English Literature teacher. I specialise in delivering the English and English literature curriculum from ages 11 - 18. KS3, GCSE and A level English Literature.

I have been a secondary school/6th form teacher for over 10 years. In addition, I have examined GCSE English for the exam board AQA for several years. I have also been an examiner for the iGCSE for two consecutive years.
I have privately tutored many young people and all have met or exceeded their estimated target grade.

I am also a pastoral leader in the current school in which I work and a designated safeguarding leader, so I have a wealth of experience working with young people with a complete range of abilities and approaches to learning.
