Information about Rayyan
I`m currently a student at the University of Leeds. I`m studying a well-rounded course that includes study of the Arabic language, History, lots of Theology and Religion, Sociology and Politics.
I really do genuinely love teaching and am seriously considering it as a full-time career after I have finished my university course. I`m quite a social and reasonably chatty person and would obviously like to get on well with my students - though, of course, the absolute main focus must always remain on school work!
Tutors can go through content with a student to check their understanding and comprehension, we can and will give vital revision tips and grounded guidance in terms of good academic habits...
BUT! All of my experience so far (both with regards to my own academic performance through GCSEs and A-Level *and* with regards to how well previous students have done) has shown me that the main factor in determining your GSCE or A-Level outcome as a student **is your own work ethic** :)

Experience: At school I received 9 International GCSEs and 1 regular GCSE (iGCSEs are widely considered as very slightly more advanced than GCSEs, though the same content is covered):
iGCSE Design and Technology- Grade A*
iGCSE Fine Art - Grade A*
iGCSE Biology - Grade A*
iGCSE Maths - Grade A
iGCSE History - Grade A
GCSE French - Grade A
iGCSE Chemistry - Grade A
iGCSE English Literature - Grade A
iGCSE English Language - Grade B
iGCSE Physics - Grade C
Through a combination of having been through the GCSE/iGCSE process myself, and by currently tutoring a year 10 student in preparation for his History (Edexcel), Biology (AQA) and Maths (Edexcel) GCSE exams next year, I have become very familiar with the GCSE syllabus and structure.
At school I also received three A-Levels:
A-Level History - Grade A
A-Level Fine Art - Grade A
A-Level Biology - Grade B
In the past my tutoring experience has been mainly with primary school children although, as mentioned I also have some experience with GCSE students. I feel most confident teaching GCSE Biology, History, Design and Technology and Fine Art. This is because I received either an A* or A grade myself in those subjects at GCSE/iGCSE level but also studied them further at A-Level so am very familiar with the syllabi. But I can also tutor GCSE/iGCSE Maths students.
