Information about Joe
Hi, my name`s Joe and I have recently graduated from the University of Exeter with a 1st class degree in Zoology.
Biology has always fascinated me from a young age and I excelled in school with an A* at A-level and an A in Human biology at AS level as well.
More importantly however, I am dyslexic so I understand the hardships that come with getting to grips with some of the less tangible elements of biology. Because of this, i`m extremely passionate about helping others to and will do everything in my power to help them understand the subject.
I belive flexibility and approachability are incredibly important in creating a successful relationship with the tutee.
Being dyslexic, I can understand how hard it might be at first to grasp particular concepts but I am good at finding a way to work through it to eventually get that eureka moment!
As well as making the content interesting, i am particularly good at working on exam technique so that the tutee knows exactly what to put down to get the marks during an exam.
Availability: Available 24/7 weekdays and weekends
Willing to travel: 4 miles
Experience: I have no past experience in tutoring but I do hope that doesn`t put you off! I have a wealth of experience with children having worked in orphanages across the world and I truly love teaching all age ranges.
In terms of teaching experience, I used to work as a swimming coach at my old school and I have also helped out my rugby club with coaching as well.
I also have work experience as a field guide in South Africa. This involved teaching guests about the wonders of the natural world and catering for a wide range of knowledge levels.
