Are you looking for personalised tuition for your child?
I offer tuition for both English reading and writing and Maths at KS1 and KS2. In addition, I can provide personalised lessons to prepare your child for sitting the SATs and common entrance exams.
I am a friendly, outgoing and approachable tutor with substantial experience within primary education.
Availability: Available for online and face-to face lessons.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: Primary Teaching experience of 14 years in both KS1 and KS2.
Head of Maths for large outstanding primary school.
Have been a Maths advisor supporting teachers and headteachers for primary schools in the South East and London region.
Local primary teacher in the Epsom/Ashtead area.
Experience in Year 6 SAT preparation and Grammar school entrance exams.

I cannot express how grateful I am to Ben for the excellent support he has given my sons. My eldest son has ADHD and was quite behind in his learning, even before lockdown, in both English and Maths. In just a few sessions, I could see a massive improvement in both his knowledge and, more importantly, his confidence. Now that we have been seeing Ben for a few months, there is a phenomenal improvement in both my son`s ability and attitude towards learning. Ben also does a small session for my youngest, who is autistic, around emotion literacy support. Where again there is a huge improvement. Both my boys thoroughly enjoy and look forward to their sessions with Ben. It has been a joy seeing my boys blossom under his tutelage. Ben is kind, clear, patient, extremely knowledgeable, fun and understanding. I cannot recommend him enough.

Ben is a brilliant tutor who knows the school curriculum. He’s punctual and very well understands my son’s needs. Every lesson is interesting and I’m amazed how much Ben can do with my son in just one session. Moreover my son is happy to work with him and already asking for more lessons.
Would certainly recommend Ben for English and maths tutoring.
