I have taught Chemistry for over 40 years, seven years in a leading London 11-18 day school and then as Head of Chemistry and then Head of Science at Cheltenham College. I taught part time at the College for another 4 years and now do a small amount of private tutoring.

I still enjoy teaching students this wonderful subject even after so many years. My approach is encouraging and supportive of individual needs.

I have a lot of experience in coaching students of all abilities and giving them the confidence to succeed in Chemistry. I have a long track record of success at GCSE, iGCSE, AS, A2 and Oxbridge Entry in Chemistry. I am currently Chairman of the Chemistry Examiners for the Independent Schools Examination Board.

Availability: I`m pretty flexible and can offer daytime or evening slots.

I am now willing to return to face-to-face teaching but I did find that during the Covid-19 situation, teaching online using Zoom, FaceTime etc worked very well. I believe that a mixture of both face-to-face and online has the potential to work very well.
