I have a BA Hons 2i in History, an MA and a PGCE with distinction. I have over 20 years of A Level History teaching experience in the UK (including Chelmsford County High for Girls) and 9 years overseas eg have been Head of History at the British School Muscat in Oman and Head of Humanities at Tanglin Trust School Singapore.
I love teaching as my excellent references will bear out and always seek to ensure that my students achieve the best grades possible at GCSE and A Level. I have taught many courses/different periods at both levels ranging from Ancient, Medieval, to Early Modern and Modern eg Vietnam, USA, Hitler`s Germany, Tudor, Medieval 1066-1307 etc. I ahave a huge range of resources including visual and certainly know what the exam boards are looking for.

We didn`t get teaching with Elizabeth due to Covid 19 lockdown, she had to isolate, hence the law rate.

I highly recommend Elizabeth to tutor history:
Having returned from traveling on my gap year, I was left with only a short period of time to prepare and revise for the history A-level I had elected to re-take.
Elizabeth could not have been more supportive. She was extremely organized, professional and prepared for each session, bringing relevant resources and offering a wealth of knowledge from her many years teaching history. In addition, Elizabeth provided constructive feedback on the homework set between lessons; this improved my essay writing technique enormously. While we have only had one session so far (GCSE History), my son confirmed that it was a positive and useful experience, that Elizabeth was well prepared and focused upon giving him practical approaches for the upcoming exams. Will definitely book some more sessions before then.
