Information about Tracey
I`m 57 years old and became a Maths teacher after being a Learning Support Assistant and Cover Supervisor for 5 years.
I taught Maths in secondary schools from 2005 to 2012. I then moved into working with small groups and one to one sessions helping and supporting pupils to achieve their potential. I love this and find that tailoring learning and sessions to pupils` individual needs provides a completely personalised experience and can unpick a topic to add in extra steps to encourage a complete understanding. I make learning interactive and engaging and include problem solving to allow pupils to apply their knowledge and build their confidence.
I am friendly and put pupils at ease, we discuss their learning so they can feel that their views are important.
In June I mark GCSE Maths papers for Edexcel which gives me a great insight into the best way to answer questions for achieving full marks and also identifying any common misconceptions so we can avoid pitfalls.
I can also teach Functional Skills up to Level 2 in Maths and English.
I can travel to Willenhall, Walsall, Bloxwich, Aldridge, Brownhills, Bilston, Wolverhampton and surrounding areas. I also tutor online.
