Shaun

I am a specialist in Business Education rated as outstanding by Ofsted and have 10 years experience as an Examiner with Edexcel and AQA. I previously worked at a leading independent North East Day & Boarding School and I am now the lead A level tutor for Business for an online international school. In this role, I write the course, assignments (in the style of examinations) and mark schemes used by every student worldwide, as well as leading a team of tutors.

I am familiar with AQA, Edexcel and Cambridge International exams

I teach students across the academic spectrum to attain significant added value at GCSE and Advanced level through a very deep and broad understanding of the subject and highly developed skills in assessment.

Experience: I am a confident, passionate and motivated teacher of Business having had twenty five years’ experience in teaching Business, Economics and ICT up to A level, following courses leading to both terminal exams and courses that are predominantly coursework based such as GNVQ, BTEC & Double Award Applied Business. I have experience of teaching students from a range of backgrounds with varying levels of motivation and behaviour and from a diverse range of cultures and nationalities. Additionally, I have ten years’ experience in an educational management role, focused on the academic attainment and behaviour of a year group, together with ten years’ experience marking and assessing the marking of other teacher at GCSE and A level as a team leader and A Level Applied Business Studies moderator. My banking background provides me with the ability to enhance my teaching with real life business examples.
