I specialise in only two (related) subjects, Business Studies and Economics in GCSE, A level and IB. I am an A Level examiner for two exam boards.
Availability: I only tutor online, every day except Sundays
Willing to travel: 50 miles
Experience: 14 years teaching Business and Economics in a large school where I was the KS5 Coordinator (in charge of A level) for these subjects. I am an A Level examiner for AQA and OCR.
I have been tutoring online for four years in my own time, testing Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) platforms to find which offers greatest ease-of-use for me and my pupils. Last September I retired fully from teaching to concentrate full-time on online tutoring.
Before that? Untypically for an Oxford graduate in History I went into construction project management in UK and overseas, most recently on very large energy projects in S-E Asia. When the 1997-8 credit crunch in that region encouraged a career switch I took the PGCE course in Business Studies at London University`s Institute of Education, becoming a Qualified Teacher in 2002.
