Information about Emily
Awarded the Dickson Poon fee-paying scholarship to study Law at King`s College London, I am passionate about the written and spoken word. I attained the highest mark in Northern Ireland in GCSE English Language the second highest in GCSE English Literature and third in History, gaining 100%, 99% and 98% in these examinations respectively. I later achieved maximum marks in my A Level English Literature and Philosophy, alongside 2 A*`s and a grade A in French. I also self-taught AS Level Spanish in which I attained a grade A.
I believe that with appropriate exam technique and practice, desired results are achievable. This is something I will endeavour to focus on in all my tutoring so that students may take their examinations with ease and confidence. I also firmly believe that a passion for English can be ignited in all, however much the student resents the subject. Student-specific material is key.
I am awaiting my CRB certificate and as soon as it arrives, I will update my profile accordingly.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to meeting you!

Emily is a talented and enthusiastic teacher. She is patient and attentive with her students. Despite her young age she has a wide culture, a lot of interests and a perfect native speaker pronuntiation. She organises carefully each lesson providing handouts and specific materials about the topic. I am very pleased because she is a great teacher and a kind person.
