Matthew

Hi, my name is Matt and I have just graduated from Newcastle Medical School in June 2021. I teach Maths, all three Sciences, history and English for GCSE and Key Stage 3.
I am now a qualified doctor who undertaking a masters of research in oncology at the university and manchester. I want to teach young people to help achieve their goals and grow their confidence.

I didn`t get into medical school during my first application and know the value of hard-work and determination to reach your goal. I have a positive attitude and am a great motivator. I fully believe you can achieve anything you set your mind to!

I achieved A*A*A at A level in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. B at AS level in History. 7A* (English Literature, Maths, x3 Science, History, German) and 2A (classical studies and english language) at GCSE.

I am an avid sportsman, with a passion for cricket and football, who enjoys all forms of sports. I love a wide genre of music aswell as popular TV and film.

I have experience teaching secondary school children in my gap year helping them all pass their GCSE sciences and Maths.

Experience: I have experience of tutoring before. In my gap year I tutored GCSE and KS3 maths and triple science in secondary schools in North Wales whilst working for the company `Yipiyap`. Last year I tutored maths and english, helping students reach and surpass their GCSE grade targets.

I developed effective methods of teaching during this time. Lessons will last between 30 minutes to an hour. During this time we will have a focus on areas of the subject we want to improve together. Theory will be followed by practice and support until it becomes second nature!

My lessons are for any secondary or primary school children at any level or those applying to medical school.
