Hi there! I’m Emily and I’m currently studying for my master`s in Engineering at the [contact detail removed] . I volunteer at the Science museum in London because I enjoy teaching people about STEM and learning from the people I meet!

I have been tutoring in person and online for almost five years now. During that time I have helped students prepare for GCSE and A-level exams in maths, physics, and chemistry. I believe in starting from first principles to ensure my students fully understand the material we have covered and are able to readily apply those skills.

My approach is to teach theory alongside exam questions to combine knowledge with practice as this has proven to be very effective in my experience. I encourage my students to ask questions and evaluate their methods to improve efficiency and clarity. I make sure to monitor their progress by checking homework and reevaluating what they have learnt from previous lessons.

I am very happy to give advice regarding university applications and studying engineering. I will always impart study tips to help my students revise in the most effective way and how they can make the most of their education.

I am fully invested in making sure my students are successful in their endeavours.

Experience: I have prepared over 45 students for GCSE, A-Level, and university entrance exams (PAT, MAT, ENGAA etc.). I have also done personal statement reviewing and mentoring along with interview preparation. I have worked one-to-one, in groups, and online.
