Information about Lucy
Hi! I`m a second-year student at Trinity Hall, University of Cambridge, studying Politics and Sociology. I really enjoy the learning process; both for myself, and facilitating that process for others. I consider myself to be a calm and considerate tutor, who values the particular needs of my students, aiming to promote their confidence, whilst pushing them towards their limits.
I am happy to consider tutoring Maths and English at GCSE, and History, Economics, Psychology and Sociology to both GCSE and A-Level.
I am also offering tutoring for the Oxbridge University application process, or for other highly-ranked Universities.
Availability: My availability is very flexible, and I will aim to work around your needs!
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have mentored 4 students through the Target Oxbridge initiative, helping students with both the Oxbridge admissions process, as well as their individual A-Levels where there was overlap with mine. I tutored a student in year 6 maths. Through these experiences, I have built skills in building relationships with my students which engage them in the learning process, and help them to reach their goals.
At GCSE I studied: Maths (A*), English Literature (A*), Economics (A*), Religious Education (A*), History (A*), English Language (A), Core Science (A), Additional Science (A), Further Science (A), French (A), Drama (A) and IT (A)
I studied Maths to AS Level, achieving an A grade. At A-Level, I studied Economics, History and Psychology, achieving an A* in all.
In the first year of my degree, studying 4 papers including Political Theory, International Relations, Sociology, and Psychology, I achieved a First class mark.
In my second year, I have just taken exams in Politics and Sociology.
