Language lessons with a multilingual tutor: French, German, Japanese.

Hello, my name is Liam and I have taught German, French and Japanese for 5 years as a private tutor. I teach students of all levels - beginner, intermediate and advanced. I have lived in London for 3 years working as a private tutor. Learning another language is a brilliant life skill and I am very happy to help people in achieving this.

About me: My parents are Irish and I have lived in Ireland, the UK, Germany and French-speaking Canada. I hold an honours degree in French and German literature and translation, a master`s degree in linguistics and a certificate of English language teaching. I grew up speaking English and Irish with my parents and French and German with my friends. I started speaking German and French when I was a teenager, so I share with my students the tricks I used to learn these languages quickly and to a high level. I learned Japanese as an extra-curricular activity during university and I enjoy sharing tips and tricks with students to make this very complex language easier and more accessible.

Availability: Lesson times are flexible. Please contact me and we can discuss the ideal time for your personalised lessons.

Lessons costs £30 per hour. I recommend 1.5 hour or 2 hour lessons in order to truly make progress. You can come to lessons in my home in Hackney E5, or in another Central London location such as a quiet café.

For your first lesson, you can make one payment. For all other lessons my students pay in blocks of at least 4 lessons (e.g. 4 x 1hr lesson = £120). This is for security purposes. Most students pay by bank transfer, but cash is also acceptable.

I will also show you how to use several free websites and apps to make your study much easier and more effective between your lessons. Learning a language requires a little effort every day.
