Hi, my name is Sophie, I am a fully qualified Forensic Toxicologist and Quality Consultant working in South Wales.

I have 4 years tutoring experience and have worked with students or varying abilities. Each of my lessons is pre planned and my teaching style is altered lesson-by-lesson to ensure the best teaching experience for each student!

I focus greatly on self confidence and combating exam stress as I feel that this is typically the reason for a person not reaching their full potential.

I also put a lot of focus on learning and memory techniques and I have seen first had that this encourages self belief and confidence.
Alternatively, I am offering online tuition at a reduced rate. Each session will be 1 hour long over zoom or skype where my screen will be shared and I will work off an electronic whiteboard using a graphics tablet. There is no requirement for you to have access to anything other than a device you can video call from.

Availability: Monday/Wednesday/Friday - all day.
Tuesday/Thursday - 3:30-5:30 or 8pm-9pm.

I prefer to tutor at my own home as it allows for less distraction for the student and all my resources are available. However, please feel free to enquire if you are living close by and have specific needs that require tuition to take place at your home.

Experience: Experienced maths and science tutor from primary to A level.

I have worked with children and young adults of vastly varying abilities and self confidence.

I adapt my teaching technique to each student and what they wish to achieve, be that a higher grade or greater exam and classroom confidence.

I pre-plan all of my lessons around either 1 or 2 topics a time, with reflection at the end of each session.

I believe communication is key and always ensure parents and students are kept up to date with how the tuition is going.
