Hi, my name is James and I am a fully qualified Secondary School History teacher with 9 years experience. I specialise in GCSE and A` Level History, and I am an examiner of GCSE and A`Level History.
As a Head of History I teach Key Stage 3 & 4 History at a school in south Manchester. As I work with children of the same age on a daily basis, I am fully up to date and engaged with current teaching methods and subject requirements.
I tend to focus on helping students to develop their exam skill techniques by using past exam questions to help prepare students for their final exams. These skills will also be of benefit if you are taking other Arts related exams.
My aim with all of the children that I teach is to provide them with the tools and knowledge to become lifelong learners. I achieve this by making lessons fun and engaging.
I use a variety of teaching tools including IPad`s, videos, sound clips, books, educational games, and past exam papers.
Availability: Weekends and evenings.
Willing to travel: 8 miles
Experience: 13 years experience of teach Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and key stage 5 History. Experience of the following Key Stage 4 exam boards OCR, AQA, Edexcel.
