I am an Open University Graduate who has always enjoyed Maths and number puzzles. I have a good sense of humour and enjoy passing on my love of the subject to others.
I did an IT Diploma at North Devon College in 1999 - 2001 and went on to do a PGCE thereafter, teaching Maths and IT to students young and old until 2008. After a break of 8 years, I returned to teaching. It is great to see the development of the students as they realised they could do it after all!
Many people have a block about Maths - I like to break that block down. I truly believe that everyone can DO maths. It`s a matter of mental attitude and confidence.

Availability: Evenings and Weekends to suit, in your own home where you feel comfortable.
I am confident I can help but if you`re not happy on my first visit, you need not pay me!

Experience: I qualified as an FE Lecturer at NDC (now Petroc) in 2002, and really enjoyed teaching a wide range of students.
I taught Maths at GCSE level there for 6 years on a part-time basis. This was to post-16 students and mature students returning to education.
I returned to teaching 4 years ago, and now teach Maths and English Functional Skills to learners doing apprenticeships and diplomas, as well as mainstream students doing vocational courses.
