Information about Rhian-lauren

The development and constant study of the sciences has been a permanent theme throughout my life. I graduated from London Metropolitan University where I undertook a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science. In my final year I attained a vast amount of information from the array of modules I selected: Medical Microbiology, Neuropharmacology, Metabolic Pathology, Systems Pathology, Clinical Biochemistry, and Molecular modelling and Bioinformatics. The most significant being my laboratory project which placed emphasis on the utilisation technique of phage display to identify peptides which bind and block the T-type calcium channel (Cav3.2). I have developed a high level of scientific skills. The ample scope of my responsibilities enabled me to achieve an abundance of skills (relationship management, communication, leadership, organisational, analytical and problem solving) and honed my laboratory skills. I would now like to share my passion for the sciences by teaching others.
