Full enhanced DBS certificate (2011 to date).
Undergraduate degree in Physics from the University of Manchester (2008 - 2011).
A levels in physics, maths and further maths (2008).

Three week placement in a secondary school as a maths and physics teacher`s assistant organised through university (2010).
Private maths and physics tutor through tutoring agency in Manchester (2011-12).
Self employed maths and physics tutor in the Lichfield area (2013-2016).
Self employed maths and physics tutor in the York area (2016 to date).
Undergraduate physics tutorials assistant with the University of York (2017 to date).

Experience: I have been tutoring part time since 2011 up to 2014 where I took a break to go travelling. Upon returning at the start of 2015 I began tutoring again but was also employed at the St Francis School, Aldridge, as a Maths and Physics subject specialist.

My responsibilities were working closely with maths and physics students in 6th form, and top set year 11, mainly to push the top students from A up to A*. I assisted teachers in main classes as well as took students aside in small groups for extra tuition.

In addition to GCSE and A level students, I have also tutored college students retaking exams, adults studying for the maths equivalency test, as well as an adult studying for maths and physics engineering exams for his career.

I remained tutoring privately whilst at St Francis, up until the summer of 2015 where I left to attend a teacher training course, where I improved on my teaching skills and checking the understanding and learning of students.

I have since decided not to continue into full time teaching, and I moved to York to study a masters in Fusion Energy (plasma physics) obtaining a distinction in 2017. I was offered the position a PhD student at the University of York that I have been studying from 2017 to date.

Whilst studying for my PhD I have also begun assisting in undergraduate physics tutorials as well as marking for undergraduate physics coursework. I am looking for a few students who are keen to learn and improve their knowledge in either maths or physics.
