I am a passionate and experienced Head of History with a proven track record of improving student outcomes. With 13 years of teaching experience, I am a fully qualified and practising Head of Department, with extensive knowledge of GCSE History specifications and what examiners are looking for.

I am also a GCSE examiner for two major exam boards and have been marking examinations for the past seven years. This enables me to provide students with up-to-date guidance on exam requirements, assessment objectives, and the techniques needed to achieve top grades.

I offer support for both KS3 and GCSE History. As a Head of History at a successful secondary school, I have consistently delivered strong outcomes, including GCSE results that have ranked among the top-performing schools nationally. In 2026, my students achieved results that were 5% above the national average at grades 4-9.

My tutoring is tailored to each student and focuses on building subject knowledge, developing effective revision strategies, improving exam technique, strengthening essay-writing skills, and boosting confidence. My aim is not only to help students achieve their target grades but also to develop a genuine interest and enthusiasm for History.
