Information about Tomos
Hi my name is Tom and I am available to help with various aspects of Programming, Computer Science and IT/Technology in general.
I am an enthusiastic, friendly individual with a passion for programming and Computer Science. My interest in programming started over 10 years ago, aged just 14.
I am able to help with Computer Science related assignments and projects, at GCSE, A-Level and Degree level. I can also assist with teaching concepts or going over syllabuses or concepts where you feel extra help would be beneficial.
As somebody who has been tutored in the past, self-taught myself some programming, and been through traditional classroom based teaching, I understand that everybody’s learning style is different and that a personal one-on-one approach can be extremely beneficial to students. I am adaptable in terms of teaching style, and change my teaching style and structure of teaching according to the needs of my students. I appreciate the importance of setting achievable goals so that students can see they are making progress, and are motivated to continue learning!
Availability: Weekday evenings (6PM onwards). Weekends can be either morning or afternoon.

Experience: I first started programming over 10 years ago, so I have a large amount of experience. I have a BSc in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Bath, graduating three years ago. I currently work in IT, performing software development and IT support for a large international company in the City of London.
Specific programming/computer science experience: Python, Java, PHP, Javascri pt, HTML, Databases, Linux/Unix, Web servers (Nginx/Apache).
