I`ve tutored many students over the last twenty years and know what a positive difference it can make. I can offer Maths at GCSE and Pure Maths at A Level, and have a strong knowledge of all three major exam boards - AQA, Edexcel and OCR. I can also provide a short bridging course to enable students to gain confidence in moving from GCSE Maths to A Level. This lasts six weeks and focuses on key topics that are the foundations for preparing for the A Level course.

I have over twenty years experience of teaching, and for most of that time have taught GCSE and A Level groups. I have been Head of a large and successful Sixth Form in South Yorkshire, and so have a detailed understanding of not only teaching at this level, but also the whole process of UCAS admissions should that help in any way.

My approach to tutoring is simple. I aim to build your confidence and understanding. I`m not there to judge, but to support. What I have learnt over the years is that when students start to grasp the style of exam questions and what the examiners are after, then everything starts to fall into place. I`m proud of the fact that many of my students in the past have improved their grades, and also benefited from their increased self-belief. I do believe that having a personal tutor can make a real difference.
