Hello!

Thank you for visiting my profile. My name is Ameera and I am a Trainee Clinical Psychologist. I studied Psychology in University but I am also passionate about Maths. Some of my degree and a lot of my previous work has involved the use of Maths such as analysing quantitative data and using statistics. I gained an A* at Maths A-Level and I enjoy sharing my passion and knowledge onto others.

I teach from an individualistic approach and understand that no two students are the same. I therefore am able to tailor my teaching to suit the needs of the student. I gently encourage and push students to achieve their goals. coming from a psychology background, I understand both the stressors and anxieties when facing exam and I aim to ease these as much as possible in order to aid learning and build confidence.

Experience: I have over 4 years experience of private tutoring with various high school ages (KS3 and GCSE) in Maths and have had excellent feedback. I have also mentored students in university (psychology degree) in order to help them achieve their goals when working towards key assignments and exams. I use Maths in my previous job and degrees such as conducting statistics in university and analysing data as a Research Assistant.

I have worked closely with individuals with autism and ADHD on a 1:1 basis and I was able to build a rapid rapport which increased engagement.
