Information about Alison

I am a qualified and highly-experienced teacher offering tuition in English, French, German or Spanish from KS3 to GCSE and A-level. Skilled at teaching non-native speakers of English for general conversation or exams. BA(Hons) Language and Linguistics; PGCE; Diploma in Creative Writing and MSt in Advanced English Teaching from Cambridge. I have also studied Psychology with the Open University and taught it at A-level for many years, and very much enjoy supporting students who are struggling with this very demanding subject.
I have an extremely high success rate at getting students the grades they need and can provide strategies to help overcome dyslexia, ASD and other challenges. My lessons are completely individualised and responsive to the student’s needs. I really love doing 1:1 work and nurture positive relationships with students and their families.
