I have two children and live in East Leake.
My goal is to help your child fulfill their potential in an effective and enjoyable way. I am a professional private tutor with 29 years experience of teaching in schools as well as six years of full-time private tuition. I am happy to offer long-term or intensive tuition during term-time and holidays.
I have a proven track record of helping students improve by up to 3 grades and am equally happy helping students who are struggling or those striving for a place at medical school.

Experience: I have taught at Nottingham High School for 25 years and provided tuition to children aged from 9 - 18 years old.
I have been rated by my Head of Department as an excellent, enthusiastic teacher with an outstanding grasp of the subject who has helped students of all abilities fulfill their potential.
I am currently tutoring biology A level to students from West Bridgford School, Rushcliffe, Beckett, Trent College, Nottingham High School and Nottingham Girls` High School and I am familiar with many exam boards including OCR and AQA. I am available during the day if students have free lessons and can even collect the student from school or drive them to school if required.
I am tutoring maths to several students in Year 5 and 6, helping those that find maths difficult as well as those wishing to be challenged with harder work and preparing others for entrance exams/SATS. I am helping year 7, 8 and 9 students who find maths hard or are able and looking to be extended as well as year 10 and 11 students who are preparing for GCSE. I also tutor biology, chemistry and physics to many students who find the subjects hard or need the extra help to gain grade 9s.

Malcolm is an excellent tutor. He has helped my daughter over the 4 sessions she has had with him so far gain a further understanding of A level Biology. He has helped her master exam technique by going through past papers, explaining what she does not know/understand and reinforcing her confidence in the content that she does know. I have already recommended him to 3 other friends for their children.
