As a Geology graduate and qualified Secondary Science teacher, I love sharing my enthusiasm for Science!
I am a friendly, creative tutor, who enjoys using tried-and-tested teaching tools alongside educational technology in order to make learning exciting and effective!
Although I have experience of classroom teaching in a Secondary School, as well as having volunteered in a Sixth Form College to run exam preparation workshops, I have found that I much prefer working with students one-to-one, following a personalised workscheme to help individual students progress.
I am happy to provide tutoring on a short-term or long-term basis and I am currently able to provide completely flexible working hours.

Availability: As a full-time tutor I am able to offer tuition sessions every day Monday to Friday, after school and into the evenings. I do also offer occasional weekend group sessions and one-to-one intervention sessions.

Experience: I have a PGCE in Secondary Science (with Chemistry A-Level and English as an Additional Language) from the University of Worcester and have worked in a Secondary School as a newly qualified teacher. I also previously delivered exam preparation workshops within the Earth Science department of a Sixth Form College.

My daughter found Joanna very helpful. She was very pleased with the session and she said that she likes the style in which Joanna explains Physics. We intend to continue with Joanna as her tutor, my daughter is confident that Joanna will be able to explain the areas of the subject that she doesn’t understand. Thank you.
