After graduating, I immediately completed my secondary teacher training and subsequently began teaching. I have taught in an extremely wide variety of secondary schools in many different counties, before settling in Lancashire. I have taught the full 11-18 age range and learners of all abilities. I have always throughout my 25 years of teaching enjoyed, and therefore provided, private tuition. Most recently, I have supported a young learner with autism.

I have provided a lot of in-class support for children with specific learning needs and taught ‘mastery’ classes for those of extremely high ability and identified as gifted. Recently, I have been fortunate enough to be able to work with children in Year 6 at local primary schools to provide support to those children identified as being able of achieving exceptional performance in the KS2 SATs.

Teaching A-Level is another obvious area from which I get great pleasure and consider to be an extreme privilege. Many of my lessons, when observed, have been judged as outstanding. In summary, I consider my teaching styles to be extremely varied and flexible to the particular needs of the students at that time. I take a great deal of pride in contributing to a student’s final outcomes and raising their standards of achievement.

Availability: Weekdays after 5.00pm.
Weekends by prior arrangement.
