I am mathematics undergraduate at Durham University, who enjoys all things maths and loves seeing people solve problems! I have been tutoring for years in and out of school, giving me 3+ years of experience tutoring. I have also for 5+ years been a chess tutor. This all means that I am capable of curating bespoke lessons, with an empathetic and approachable nature of teaching. I am quite a hands-on/ adaptable person such that I prefer to create examples then and there- this means I love taking questions about the content and being able to answer them.

My main goal would be to give my students a fundamental and intuitive understanding of the content they are learning- allowing them to adapt to whatever questions are thrown at them in the exam. Whilst I abhor just memorising a method, I do create steps to approach certain types of questions but ensure there is a core understanding for each step.

A typical lesson with me would start off by going over the theory of the topic we have planned. I would start from the basics and explain the intuitions one should have, I would then proceed to go through examples and then an exam question. I would then ask you to complete some exam questions with me so I can see your thought process.


Prefered Exam boards:
Mathematics: gcse- Aqa, A level- edexcel
Physics: gcse - Aqa

Although I would be amenable to learning other exam boards.
