Hi, I am a retired maths teacher living in the Brixham area. My educational background is Civil Engineering, (Bsc from Manchester University) and GTP in Mathematics through Exeter University. I have now retired from full time teaching and focus entir on private tuition.
I am married and have two sons, one is an Occupational Therapist and the other is an IT specialist working in Torquay.
I am a keen sailor but also enjoy walking, running and fixing everything that breaks except computers. My son does that!

Tutoring Experience:
I have taught mathematics in secondary schools since 2005 and privat since 2007. I now focus entir on private tuition at all levels ie. lower school (Key Stage 3), GCSE Foundation and Higher levels, and A level.

Tutoring Approach:
My students enjoy my informal style of teaching and really get a big boost in confidence from their lessons with me, particularly if they are preparing for examinations. Examination technique and practice is a key area of focus.
The feedback I get from my students (and their parents) is that they enjoy and look forward to their maths lessons and gain confidence in the subject.
My students either come to my house in Brixham or I travel to them if not too far away. Online tuition is also available.

Availability: Preferably evenings and weekends but I also teach during the day if required.
