I am a hard working dedicated, experienced tutor, with QTLS and fully enhanced DBS on the Update Service. I am experienced both as a classroom teacher and one- to- one tutor both online and in person. My online tutoring is via Skype and Zoom. I have taught English for ten years now from Key Stage 3 to GCSE. I also teach History up to A Level. I have taught Functional Skills English at Werrington YOI in Stoke on Trent. .. Functional Skills English and Maths to offender learners (Category C Prisoners) at HMP Stafford and GCSE English at South and City College in Birmingham. I have experience of Teaching SEN learners and Teaching Assistant roles in schools across Staffordshire. I was Interim Acting Head of Silver Birch School in Shard End Birmingham.
I believe in the removal of barriers to learning and understand the challenges faced by learners in trying to achieve their goals, due to external environmental and personal factors which can have a negative impact on their learning. For me teaching and learning are very important and prepare the way for both young people and adults to venture into the work place. I possess the ability to motivate learners’ and develop strong ties; enhanced by my mentoring role which has enabled me to work with students’ both individually and in groups, thus catering better for their needs.

Availability: I am available Monday to Friday 9am until 1pm and 2pm until 5pm .

Experience: I have fifteen years teaching experience in a variety of settings including: schools, colleges, alternative provision in SEND schools and prisons. I teach English from Key Stage Three to GCSE. I also teach History both GCSE and A Level.
