I understand that maths is a subject that can be like marmite to students. Feelings can range from loving it to hating it. I enjoy working with students and I know that for some Maths seems impossible whereas for others it is the most natural thing in the world. Whatever your skill level or confidence level I am sure that I can help you to improve and to achieve (surpass even) your goals. I love my subject and have a lot of experience with helping others to become better at it. I have a Masters in Math Education and my most recent teaching post was as Head of the Maths Department. I have several years of tutoring experience and have worked with learners of a secondary school age as well as mature learners. I retired early from teaching and therefore can focus my time and efforts on helping you to achieve your targets. I work with only a small number of students on a 1-1 basis. My aim is to provide a very personalised service to ensure that you progress. I have a very good understanding of how students learn, and I incorporate this knowledge into my teaching to ensure that you get maximum benefit from your personalized tuition. I am very skilled in online tuition and can use the advantages of digital technology to help you to maximise your potential.

Experience: I have taught for over a decade in schools both in the UK as well as internationally. I have worked with students of a wide range of ability. I have also tutored for several years. I have a Master’s in Math Education as well as achieved my QTS status very early on in my career and progressed all the way to being the Head of the Maths Department. I have marked the equivalent of GCSE exam scri pts and therefore have a solid understanding of what examiners look for when awarding marks.
