I am currently the Assistant head of English at a over subscribed secondary school and sixth form college in Leeds. I am in charge of ks4 with the focus on GCSE years 10 and 11. I teach across all year groups- from year 7 to year 11 and also teach Alevel English Language. I hold a BA Degree in English from Goldsmiths university in London and have been trained to teach English and acquired my degree from the prestigious university, The Institute of Education. I also hold a Masters degree in English Education. For the last 3 years I have also been an AQA gcse examiner where I have marked gcse scri pts and received personal training from the exam board to undertake this important responsibility.

Availability: I am available at the weekends-with mornings being my preferred times to tutor. I can also offer tuition most evenings or after school during the week.

Experience: With 10 of years of teaching experience across London and Yorkshire- I have taught a range of abilities and all year groups. I oversee all lessons and planning in my department and am iinvolved in observing lessons to ensure outstanding progress is being made by all students no matter what their ability.I have a depth of knowledge and regularly teach intervention groups after school focusing on what students need to do to meet their target grades and beyond. I have also tutored students who are being homeschooled-working for Oxford home learning in the past. My success in the past few years with students has been exceptional often leading to students making 2 whole levels of progress only in a few months.
